About me

I'm a junior at Cornell College. I am the Secretary of BACO and am a part of lunch buddies. I also volunteer in the Cornell College Archives. I plan on attending grad school for my MLIS, following my graduation from Cornell. I either want to be a children’s librarian or an archivist. I am especially passionate about making sure that all kids feel represented in the books they read. Because of my passion for this, I started a little free library, in the first street community center. It focuses on just children’s books with diverse characters and themes. This could include but is not limited too: race, sex, gender, religion, family structure, and socioeconomic status.

What I hope to get from this internship

I hope that I will get valuable experience in both a library and an archival setting. This will hopefully help me when applying to grad school. It will also prepare me for a job in either of those fields.
