About me
My name is Oskar Diyali, and I’m a rising junior at Cornell College majoring in Computer Science and Data Science. Originally from Nepal, I’ve always been passionate about both technology and music—two worlds that have shaped my identity. While I enjoy coding and working with data, I also thrive in creative spaces, whether that’s performing guitar live with the Pop Contemporary Ensemble or collaborating with fellow musicians on campus. Outside of academics and music, I love being outdoors, hiking, organizing events for International Students Association (ISA) and discovering new music across genres. And when I’m home, I love to play with my dog, Rocky, who keeps life joyful.
What I hope to get from this internship
As an Audio Engineering Intern, I’ll be gaining hands-on experience with analog and digital signal chains, real-time audio processing, and professional hardware/software integration. I’ll also be responsible for general studio tasks like session setup, channel routing, mic placement, DAW operation, and general studio maintenance. My key goal is to understand how audio plugins work and are used for latency, DSP performance, and user experience — insights that will help my CS capstone, where I plan to build an audio plugin using C++. I’m really eager to learn collaborative studio workflows, troubleshooting techniques, and audio engineering standards in a fast-paced, professional setting.
