Week 4:
University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics

Taylor Fellow in Psychology & Therapy

University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics | Iowa City, Iowa

NOTE: My internship site is at the Medical Education Building, I park across from the Biomedical Research Center on the Newton Parking Ramp, and I often will explore the General Hospital.  I’m aware that this can be confusing.

Arriving & Leaving/Newton Parking Ramp

The parking rates. They're... they're not cheap. ($17 a day) This is one of the main things my Fellows money goes towards, besides gas.

A bridge located right next to my parking ramp that I've always wanted to explore and find where it leads. I always have to get back to Cornell right away (either that, or I'm free on the days it's really cold)

There are three hallways you can go down when you enter the Medical Education Building - this is the one leading to the psychiatry department.

I'm assuming an interior computer (or related device) plays the piano, but I still like to believe it's magic.

A compass in the center of the hospital. I've found it extremely helpful, even if I've never used it to actually find "North."
