Wrapping Up a Summer to Remember
This summer I had the amazing opportunity to live in a completely new state and do a job that I see myself doing in my future.
Emma Vansickle '26 is completing a variety of field projects and laboratory analyses involving plankton tows, sonor-based fish surveys, and growth experiments with Dr. Matt Kimball at the Belle Baruch Coastal Marine Laboratory in Georgetown, South Carolina.

I am now nearly at the halfway point of my internship at the Baruch Marine Field Laboratory and am growing to love it more every day.
On my first day at Baruch, I started off strong with going knee to waist deep in the marsh and mud to pull a seine.
