About me

My name is Mahmoud Elawady, also known as Moodi, and I am from Egypt. I am a sophomore double majoring in biochemistry, molecular biology, and computer science. I have been passionate about STEM since I was very young, and sometimes, I used to connect STEM with my favorite sport, soccer, by reading about statistical analysis of the players along with their bodies’ technicalities and the biology behind that. I guess you might then know what I do in my free time. Yes, I either play(including video games) or watch soccer. Also, I love reading, especially science fiction and psychology books.

What I hope to get from this internship

I am very excited to join the Center for Sleep Medicine at Mayo Clinic, and I will try to get the most out of it by learning more about sleep research. Also, I am looking forward to contributing to the community at Mayo with my cultural background and making good memories in Minnesota I forgot to mention that I am a lifelong learner, and here is a new journey to learn from.
