About me

Hello, my name is Anna. I have loved animals and the outdoors since I was young. I decided to pursue this as a career in highschool. In college, I have learned so much, particularly in my ecology courses. I have done fieldwork with Ornate Box Turtles and also have experience with radiotelemetry. In February, I studied abroad in Belize learning about Fire Coral and coral bleaching. I am a well organized student that pushes myself to learn and excel. This has allowed me to be on top of any project or exam I am studying for regardless of the course. I am also highly motivated and have experience in working with groups and in individual work. Outside of academics I am the captain of the Cornell College Dance Team.

What I hope to get from this internship

I believe that this internship will make me a better biologist, and will stand out on my resume. I will learn to adapt to a new place with a new group of people. I will also be learning about an ecosystem that is very different from the places I have studied in Iowa. I hope to gain knowledge as well as adaptability. I think that I will also grow in my critical thinking and problem solving skills during this experience.
