Andrea Niola '27 is interning with the physical teams within the Rehabilitation Services department of Saint Anthony Hospital - Roosevelt Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to observing and assisting physical therapists in the clinic, Andrea also has the chance to learn about various therapeutic techniques, modalities, and equipment used in physical therapy and assist with basic, non-clinical tasks.

I’m a first gen student, currently a junior majoring in kinesiology and a minor in psychology. My long term goal is to become a physical therapist! I’m really passionate about physical therapy, and I'm excited to start my internship.
I would like to learn about the recovery process post surgery, how to know what exercises to give the patients, learn about DPT school and what I should know going into it.
